On my way back from visiting family in Massachusetts I stopped in at the Great Falls Cars and Coffee event. What an event it was! I got there about 6:20 (even though I was warned to get there earlier!) and I was able to find a spot to park with no problem. Considering how bad the traffic was on I81 the day before in Pennsylvania (more on that in a different, rage filled post) I figured that was a win.
I got to meet a couple of people from Oppo as well! I met efme who had one of the most beautiful CTS-V wagons I'd ever seen. Also, it's a manual so that's nice. I met Jagvar which was definitely a highlight of the day! He knows more about cars than I could ever imagine and his passion is inspiring. He let me check out the Phaeton. Put it to you this way, it was a lot nicer than my Cruze!
Overall the show was excellent. Well organized, the attendees were all respectful of everyone else. There was a guy driving a first gen Sebring convertible around like he was running the place. It was weird. To each their own.
A lot of these vehicles I was seeing in the flesh for the first time. It was quite an experience!
Below is just a sampling of vehicles I saw. It's not exhaustive and my picture taking skills need work.
Viper ACR
Volvo Turbo brick. It was awesome. I think the man said something like 460 hp at the wheel hub just as the clutch slipped. Damn.
Haven't seen one of these in a while. It had red halo's in the head lights. That was a nice touch.
The man driving this car had just had left elbow surgery like 3 weeks prior. He said it was it's first trip out in a while. His smile was ear to ear.

Indeed! Maybe next time we can do some hiking! It really is special. The folks are very proud of their rides and courteous towards others. That's not always the case.

Right? The guy was really cool too. He would have let me sit in it but what if I scratch it? I did sit in a Corvette Stingray though so that was awesome.
